Toast to Liberty, Thank a Vet

Picture
This was the winner of our first Independence Day Toast @ The QFM.

We want everyone in Quincy to find a Vet, raise a glass, Toast to Liberty, and then thank them for giving it to you.

Share your Immigration Experience

Picture
Three eight foot tall murals depicting the immigration experience from a youth perspective will be on display. A 40inch flat screen will present interviews with the artists. Then share your own family's story on video. And take a shot at espousing Hilary Clinton's or Sarah Palin's position on Immigration Reform.

Congratulations Boston Bike Guy!

Quincy son Mike Fink launched a mobile bike repair business at the Quincy Farmers Market with asistance form the Quincy Chamber of Commerce's Startup program. Now he's opened a full service bike shop on Hancock Street. Thanks for the demonstration of Freestyle BMX stunt bike riding - right at center stage at The QFM.
We are looking for music composed, performed, or produced in Quincy for the final cut of this video. Please put the word out, and tell us who it is.

and please buy lobsters & fish

Picture
Local lobstermen were decimated last year due to a unusually warm winter which created a supply glut, pushing prices to 30 year lows and product dumping into our local market. In addition, regulations to restore fish stocks and long term health of the industry is making it difficult for small, local fishermen to survive in the short term.

C&C Lobster - Chris and Carolyn Manning and their four children run a beautiful lobster boat named the “Carolyn M” from their home dock in Hull. Chris goes out daily to haul a portion of their 800 traps. He has been a full-time commercial lobsterman since 1982.

You can also place orders by phone: 781-925-3842 or e-mail: topnotchhull@comcast.net and get it delivered to your home, office or designated site at a designated time.

Treat the kids

L&M Slush ("nuf said')

Kids also love Stambry's "Make & Take" where they spend a few minutes to make something to take home with them (and maybe give as a gift.)

Wash up and moisturize

Stambry's of Quincy specializes in customizable, non-allergenic, soaps and personal care products. Their Do-It-Yourself classes have been growing gangbusters.

Wrap it up with a massage

Picture
The Spa at Boncaldo's offers chair massage and often features personal care products prepared with whatever is fresh that day. (We wonder what they might do with strawberries...)
