Charles River Farm was founded in the 1980's by father and son, John and Andrew Dellea. The farm quickly grew into a year-round greenhouse production of flowers, vegetable greens, and herbs, as well as a variety of seasonal produce for sales to restaurants and locals at our own farm store. When COVID hit Andy reached out to the Quincy Farmers Market and to our good luck, became a vendor. Charles River Farm is committed to sustainable agriculture. They follow organic practices and have an extensive composting program for soil health, now and into the future. |
The Daily Farm came to the Quincy Farmers Market via Laos where the Hmong people supported American troops during the Viet Nam War. They traveled through the jungle, along the river to Thailand where Chai lived for several years in a refugee camp. Pah was born there. In 2005 they immigrated to Rhode Island where they started farming to grow the food that they liked to eat. In 2017 they started their family-owned farm. They grow organic, (though not certified), pesticide free and GMO-free fruits and vegetables. In the Spring of 2022, we invited them to join the Quincy Farmers Market. Now they are growing vegetables that you like to eat.

Mike's Eggs of Pembroke
Mike grew up on farm where he and his older brother competed in growing vegetables. Lucky for the Quincy Farmers Market that Mike’s brother was better at growing vegetables than he was. Perhaps that’s why Mike decided to raise chicken, duck and quail instead of growing vegetables. Since 2018, Mikes been bringing their free-range eggs, always fresh, to us. |

The Farm House Meats & Cheese:
Pasture raised with a supplement of farm-raised hay, corn, silage, and haylage grown on the farm. These cows are raised from birth, stay on the farm, and are handled in a humane way. There are no antibiotics, artificial growth hormones or steroids given to them. Our all natural Black Angus are raised on a strict vegetarian diet. They are finished on a non-GMO corn based diet for a true corn-fed flavor. We allow our animals to mature, usually for at least 24 months, to achieve optimal tenderness and marbling.

Spicy Boy Jerky started in 2016 when Dan’s parents bought a dehydrator for him as a birthday present. Dan always had a curiosity for cooking and trying new and exciting foods! So what started out as a hobby of making jerky for fun, turned into gift giving to family and friends. Then in 2020, Dan came up with his official name of Spicy Boy Jerky, and took the next step as a business. Spicy Boy Jerky has a successful e-commerce store as well as a social media following on Instagram. Now Dan is expanding into his community and surrounding towns via the Quincy Farmers Market.

Rising Tides Coffee Company was established in 2023, but the dream began in 2017 when founder, Brian McLean, bought his first coffee roaster and a bag of green coffee beans. Since then Brian has spent many hours partnering with small farms and coops, educating himself, and experimenting with different roast—until he found his exceptional cup of coffee. He hopes you’ll love it as much as he does.

Stewardship
The Quincy Farmers Market (QFM) is a woman-owned and operated business fostering intercultural connections with our community since 1982. Founded by a Finnish Emigrant, continued by a retired Special Needs School Teacher and volunteers. It is run with the discipline of business as a model of efficiency for our startups yet an eye to the impact of philanthropy as a service to the community and small, family-owned farms and businesses who are our vendors and friends.
QFM is a placemaking initiative stewarded, on a break-even basis, as an urban-rural partnership, small-business incubator, and venue for artisanry, test-marketing, and social network formation in the regional agriculture and cottage industries.
