Meet the managers Janet & Kevin. Complain to her, dance with him. Janet Little is the owner of the QFM continuing 39 years of operating the QFM as a woman owned business. Kevin Dye is the Chief Fun Officer. We live on a tidal salt marsh in East Quincy. We began volunteering for the Community Supported Agriculture program around 2008 and took over the market starting the 2011 season. 'Janet's father grew up on a dairy farm in the foothills of Marion, North Carolina. This is a present day picture of her cousin's 'Little Farm' near Asheville. As a youth her father delivered milk as he walked to school. Kevin's grandparents were bakers. This is a picture of his maternal grandmother at their bakery in Newark / East Orange, New Jersey. Bakers are the most frequent startup business at the QFM and he is always thrilled to help a new baker start their business. Janet retired in 2010 as a Special Education teacher after 34 years in the Quincy School System. Along the way she learned to cook in a variety of cuisines in local diners, restaurants, and at inns / bed & breakfasts. She is also an illustrator / author of children's books and enjoys gardening. Her house & gardens are a destination for the local annual Garden Club tours. Kevin grew up as a special needs student, excelled in the arts, dance and STEM. He worked in his family catering business for large events since about 11 years old and as an artisan in crafts shows. He consults internationally on collaborative futures. You can review his background at www.linkedin.com/in/kmcdye . Welcome to the 2021 season with the Quincy Farmers Market.
